1962 – Robert Zimmerman Becomes Bob Dylan
On August 2, 1962, Robert Allen Zimmerman legally changed his name to Bob Dylan, beginning one of the most influential musical journeys in history.
Whether you know him as a songwriter, poet, or cultural icon, the name Bob Dylan has become synonymous with storytelling through music.
That got us thinking here at WTSG Command Central…
One afternoon, CLASSICKONG looked over at Tim with a grin and proudly declared:
“Hey… Little Boss!”
Tim calmly folded his arms.
“Do you know who buys the bananas around here?”
CLASSICKONG’s smile disappeared almost instantly.
“…Sorry, Boss.”
Turns out there’s only one Boss at WTSG…
CLASSICKONG just happens to be the larger, stronger, banana-powered version.
